Principal's Message

Dear Parents & Carers,

    Prayer for the Marian Procession

    Loving God,
We gather in faith and thanksgiving as we honour Mary, the Mother of Jesus — a woman of courage, hope, and grace.
As we walk together in this Marian Procession, may our steps be guided by Mary’s example of trust and love.

Help us, like Mary, to say “yes” to your call each day —
    to serve with compassion,
    to act with kindness,
and to live with hearts open to your will.

Bless our families, our school, and our Goulburn community.
May this time of prayer and reflection strengthen our unity and deepen our faith in you.

Mary, Mother of God and Mother of us all,
pray for us and lead us ever closer to your Son, Jesus.

    Amen.

Feel free to join us this Sunday for the Marian Procession, as we gather in prayer and community during this Year of Hope. It’s a beautiful opportunity to honour Mary, walk together in faith, and reflect on the hope she brings to our lives.

All are warmly welcome to take part in this special celebration of faith and unity.

    Trivia Night Fun and Thanks!

What a fantastic Friday night for St Joey’s! I had the pleasure of joining families and staff at our Trivia Night, and the atmosphere was brilliant—plenty of laughs, a few dance moves, some cheeky games, and great camaraderie at every table. It was wonderful to see staff and parents mixing across teams and genuinely enjoying themselves.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised just over $6,500, which will go directly towards a new undercover area for our car lines.

A heartfelt thank you to Brooke, Jess and Tamara for their tireless work behind the scenes, to Ted our fabulous MC for keeping the energy high, and to our sponsors for donating prizes and support. I’d also like to acknowledge all of the parents who helped on the night—from setting up and decorating, to scoring, selling raffle tickets, running games, packing down and everything in between. Your quiet efforts made the evening seamless.

For a fuller wrap-up—including a summary of the evening, acknowledgements, photos and our sponsor list—please see the Community Council section of this newsletter.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored or cheered us on. It was a true celebration of St Joseph’s community spirit.

Finally, a big thank you to the parents who backed up the following day to assist with the BBQ fundraiser—your generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit truly captured what makes St Joey’s such a special place.

    Thankyou

Congratulations to Mrs. Ariss, a parent of the St Joseph's School Community and author of Secrets of the Snow Gum, on the publication of her debut middle-grade fiction novel! We extend a big thank you for generously donating a copy to our school library — a wonderful gift that will inspire our students to read, imagine, and dream big.
